Karen Uttecht

Ph.D. Candidate in Computer Science

Short Bio

Karen Uttecht is a Computer Science graduate student at the University of Massachusetts Lowell and a research assistant at the Submillimeter-Wave Technology Laboratory

She received her Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Northeastern University. She spent 5 years working at Microsoft Corporation in Redmond, WA as a developer and program manager.  She chose to take time to stay home with her two children while they were young and has now returned to graduate school to pursue her interests in computer science research.

Karen's current work is researching machine learning and data mining solutions for automatic target recognition of radar measurements.
